Patrick the Wren
8 x 9 cm (approximately life-size)
My papier-mâché sculptures are formed using wire, recycled newspaper and glue. All the markings and features are made using coloured paper torn from the pages of the newspaper; if you look closely you can sometimes work out what some of the images were of. Each bird is given a name cut from the last pages I used whilst making it; this is usually pasted on the underside of the body - but not always!

Care Notes
The papier-mâché birds are made from layers of coloured newspaper. To keep them looking their best they would appreciate an occasional dust and a dry environment away from direct sunlight.
Being packed for transit may disrupt their equilibrium so a slight adjustment to their feet or claws may be needed to restore balance.
